Programmer. Artist. Athlete.
Hello! I'm Jonathan Wong, an aspiring coder and Android enthusiast. I am currently a Computer Engineering student at Columbia University in the city of New York set to graduate Class of 2015. I also graduated with from Wabash College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics.
I was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia. Before attending college in the states, I graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at Richmond Seccondary School. When I matriculated at Wabash College, I knew that I wanted to eventually study engineering. I was initially leaning towards mechanical engineering, as such I decided to double major in Math and Physics. It was not until I took the necessary coureses for a Computer Science minor that I discovered my passion for programming.
When I'm not typing away at a computer, I am likely to be found playing a sport. I play Ultimate (formerly Ultimate Frisbee) for Uptown Local, Columbia's club team. I also enjoy playing both basketball and ice hockey.
I have also been playing the violin since I was 4 years old. I achieved a Grade 10 level with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and was also the concert master for the Delta Youth Orchestra, as well as the Wabash College Chamber Orchestra.
